5 ‘M’ Words to Motivate You During Covid


Now more than ever is the time to be still and reflect on what is going on around us. Meditation is a great tool to help you be in a deeper state of awareness. Find a quiet area and sit in a comfortable position either on the floor or in a chair. You can also use essential oils or incense to create an even more soothing experience. I personally love using palo santo, which helps to purify the air and your mind. While you become more aware of your body and surroundings you can focus on your breath, or try doing mantra meditation where you repeat a simple phrase. Accept what emotions may rise and allow your thoughts to pass you by like clouds. The more you are aware of yourself the more you are able to walk in life with certainty and passion.


Personally, music has helped to transcend me into a completely different space when life around me seems chaotic. It has always served as an outlet of self-expression and self-love. Take a moment out of your day to listen to a song that is meaningful to you. It doesn’t matter where and when you listen, but just listen. Allow the music to captivate your mind and flow through you, bringing your body and mind peace. Whether it is song with words or without, let each note create a vibration that speaks to your soul.


Some of us underestimate the power of movement and the impact it has on our mind and body. Dancing under the sun, or taking a walk in the park can automatically put you in a clearer state of mind. Whatever it is that brings your body joy, do exactly that. That can involve dancing, walking, exercising, swimming, running, or stretching. There is no other goal, but to move your limbs freely so that any emotions that may arise can be expressed physically through your body.


Creating is also a very powerful tool that can help you feel motivated and inspired. As an artist, I find joy in being able to make blogs, write poets, and play music. All of these things personally uplift me and grant me the ability to be my true authentic self. They allow me to keep moving forward in life, even when it becomes difficult to do at times. Whatever your niche is, pour yourself into that art and make it personal and meaningful for you. It could simply be creating a piece of artwork for yourself, to starting that podcast you have been thinking about to help inspire others. Use this time to create art, and always with the intention that you are doing it for yourself first.


Everything we say and do is a reflection of the life we wish to live. I have recently been reflecting on the choice of words and the power it holds when I actively put them out into the universe. I believe the conversations we have with ourselves and with others impact our future whether we are aware of it or not. So it is important to choose words wisely. Even during this pandemic we can still manifest the life we want by actively making choices that reflect the future we see for ourselves, even if that is not our current situation.

We can speak an idea into existence until it becomes our reality all by the choice of words and the decisions we make on a daily basis. A great way to begin the journey of manifestation is creating a vision board of goals we want to accomplish, or writing in a journal the type of person we would like to become. Doing so creates a tangible dream that is within reach through every step we take.


Although the heaviness of this pandemic has affected us in indescribable ways, there are still many choices we can make that are in our control. We can choose how we speak to ourselves, and the type of day we want to have, but it all starts with a choice. I created this blog with the hope to inspire you to simply get started. It is never too late to invest in yourself and in your future. All the tools that you need are already inside of you waiting to be unleashed. This is just a simple reminder that regardless of the circumstances, you have the power to choose. That of course, is the best superpower of all.
